This custom-designed four-level childcare centre thoughtfully blends indoor engagement with dynamic outdoor spaces. In collaboration with the client, ArtMade meticulously crafted an early learning centre that encourages a sense of wonder and exploration in children while capturing the essence of Toukley's natural landscapes. The design process focused on creating a safe, interactive, and engaging space to foster growth and curiosity, ensuring longevity and a dialogue between the built environment and natural world with both robust and natural materials.
The team was committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating childcare environment, incorporating features to elevate the spatial experience for children. With a capacity of 60 children, this 660 square meter project is valued at $2.5 million and has been completed.

This double-storey centre features a seamless threshold between indoor and outdoor spaces. An owner-operator of an existing childcare centre approached ArtMade with a vision to create another centre that integrates into the new environment yet still feels familiar. The design sought to minimize impact on neighbouring properties due to the site's corner lot location facing a highway to the north and multi-residential areas to the south and east. Screened outdoor areas were created to the north, parking to the south, and outdoor areas for babies to the east.
The design also fulfilled the client's key request for spacious indoor areas that exceed minimum compliance standards. With a capacity of 86 children, this 1,619 square meter project is valued at $2 million and is currently under construction.

Located in Jean Nouvel's award-winning Central Park development, this playful and vibrant childcare centre presented exciting challenges in a mixed-use urban environment. Situated in the DUO building in the lower portion of this development, ArtMade worked with an amazing shell to create a truly unique interiors project. The design aimed to craft an engaging and imaginative space that could replicate the feel of an outdoor play environment despite being indoors. The interior design focused on creating a bright, child-friendly environment that combined modern aesthetics with practical functionality. With a capacity of 90 children, this 1,000 square meter project was completed for Greenwood Early Education Centres at a value of $4.15 million.

This bold expansion project successfully navigated the Land Environmental Court to gain approval by demonstrating commitment to historical reverence and regulatory compliance. The design was inspired by the architectural vernacular of neighboring historic houses, ensuring a cohesive spatial experience for both children and visitors.
ArtMade designed a split-level ground floor to facilitate fluid transition from street to outdoor play area. The centre showcases visionary interior design catering to three distinct age groups across five playrooms, blending modern educational facilities with the rich cultural fabric of the community. With a capacity of 84 children, this 1,305 square meter project was completed for Robyn Taylor Childcare at a value of $3.3 million.

This flagship childcare centre in a multi-residential precinct fosters a sense of openness and tranquility. The project serves as a transition development between high-rise multi-residences to the west and two-story walk-ups to the east. ArtMade opted for a sympathetic response to the existing multi-residential precinct, designing two structures, each only two-storeys tall, with a 'break' in the form to humanize the scale and mark the entry.
A simple render finish complements the free-flowing form while considering time and cost. The design prioritizes natural light and a feeling of calm amidst the multi-residences, meticulously designing interior spaces to continue the connection to nature. With a capacity of 107 children, this 1,460 square meter project has received DA approval and is valued at $3.9 million.

This purpose-built childcare centre was designed to align with neighbouring school architecture and surrounding streetscapes. A corner lot within a new subdivision enabled ArtMade to explore a concept that seamlessly integrates into the neighbourhood, fostering positive community relationships. The design drew inspiration from the neighbouring Bella Vista Public School's H-form building, conceptualizing rectilinear modules to address site-specific issues.
The rear block was retained as single-storey to reduce bulk and ensure harmony with neighbouring buildings. The composition creates a heavily articulated facade that is both visually striking from the street and internally. With a capacity of 88 children, this 1,408 square meter project is valued at $6.4 million and is currently under construction
